If the following are present in your medical history then, unfortunately, ear irrigation with the method used at Clear Ear Studio is not suitable.

  • Previous ear surgery within the last 18 months

  • A current ear infection or an ear infection in the last 6 weeks

  • History of a perforated ear drum

  • A cleft palate or repaired cleft palate.

  • Current episodes of Vertigo/Meniere's disease

  • Cases where a grommet is in place

12. Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Yes, you are welcome to bring one person along with you to the appointment. If you feel you will require a chaperone or interpreter, please bring someone along with you as this is something we can not currently provide in house.

13. Do I need to use olive oil drops prior to the appointment?

The use of olive oil drop into the ear canal can help soften the ear wax and therefore can make the removal process easier. However, with the method of ear irrigation used at Clear Ear Studio, this is not a compulsory requirement prior to attending appointments.
